About Buffy Coats
These product are collected as a fraction of an anticoagulated blood sample that contains most of the WBC and Platelets following centriugation of the blood.

Buffy Coats (BC) Product Disclosure

• Are prepared from blood that has been collected within the previous 8-12 hours.

• These units are usually distributed prio to being tested for infectious disease agents.

• Contains Platelets, but are WBC or DNA content rich.
