About Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HPSC)

These products can be collected from donors using apheresis cell separation devices. An alternative method of collection is through the placental cord immdiately after birth of a healthy full term infant.

Hematopoietic Stem Cell (HPSC) Product Disclosure

• Can be collected from donors who have been pre-medicated with filgrastim.

• Typically collected to a specified CD34+ or Total Nucleated Cell (TNC) yield.

• Cord Blood HPSC products are collected and evaluated for TNC content.

• Can be "as collected" or volume reduced using a clone system device.

• Volume reduced units will contain Hetasharch and can be frozen with the addition of a 10% DMSO solution.
